Hi everyone, I'm in the UK. I have a question regarding the engine number and trans number I have in my hot rod - I'm trying to find out the spec, and when they were manufactured etc. if anyone can help. I was told it is a 303 from 1953 and it has a Hydramatic with it, assuming 4 speed.
The number on the engine, and this is on the block on the drivers side a little below and to the rear of the head, is R64097.
The trans plate has 052-35419 on it.
I bought the roadster complete but in a real mess and had it imported to the UK about 5 years ago. It is a 1927 T roadster. If anyone is interested I can post some pictures a little later - it's in a much better state now!!
Any help greatly appreciated, and hello to you all in the good 'ol U S of A.
Rob.

Rob, the trans is a 1952, and I would assume the engine would be also. You can check all your numbers by getting into Oldsmobile facts on the internet. Just Google Olds facts. you'll find it. Great info on all rocket engines. Doug
