Does anyone have a picture of the correct pin striping on the 1923 45 wooden wheel spokes? If so I would much appreciate a copy

Thanks

David

David,

No pictures here but when I stripped the 5 coats of chipped yellow paint off my 1923 45 wheels, I did get down to the original finish and pin stripe. The spokes were finished in matching body color, a maroon. The pin stripe was a very bright red what some would call a Chinese Red. It was an elongated arrow head just under a half inch in width at the head and going down to a sharp point. It was centered on each spoke starting about an inch and a half from the hub and stopping about an inch and a half from the felloe. It got to about 4 mm wide very quickly and stayed that length until near the tail/point end.

Sorry, but best I can do.

Regards -
