Hi,

can any one tell me whether the Tri-Chevy hood hinge springs are interchangeable with the ones for a 56 98 or where to get new springs for my car?

My 98 is missing the springs and I doubt the that the ole broom stick should be considered a long term solution ...

Cheers,
J

Not sure what you are describing as a "Tri-Chevy" but can tell you the hood springs for '55-'56 Olds 98, Buick Roadmaster, and maybe even Cadillac Series 62 models should be the same, or certainly close enough to work. The Chevy hood would have been lighter and the springs would more than likely not provide the lift assist needed for the hoods of the heavier cars mentioned.
