I have need of replacing the cradle bushings. The parts book lists 1627359 as the cushion. Is that all I'll need? Is this number still good? '90 Reatta.

I have a note from a Reatta owner saying the parts listed for a Reatta were no longer available and they used 1627359 at the time it was listed for the Riviera.

Just a bit more info for those interested:
I have purchased 6 of these to replace all on my 91. They are genuine GM parts, not Delco (GM SPO boxes on all) and got them through my dealer.
My price was about $23.00 a piece. Granted, I get wholesale pricing (what the dealer would charge a shop with an open account) but that is about a 40-45% discount over retail, so regular price shouldn't be more than about $60 each. Whoever is paying $80 apiece should have brought their wet suit because they are getting hosed by their supplier.
I don't have the part number in front of me right now (at office, info is at home) but I will try to post the number I ordered later tonight. It is interesting that all 6 were the same # based on current parts catalog. In the FSM they call out 2 different types based on a color code which would have been stamped on the original parts, probably long gone on our cars with original bushings. Also, the parts I ordered were listed for car code EC97(Reatta Coupe) whereas Riviera is EC57, so the correct ones should be available.
Yes, there are also spacers, nuts and bolts. I did not check on the hardware, but was told by my parts guy while the spacers are available, I should be able to reuse them (all metal part apparently) but that remains to be seen. Hopefully I can get the bolts and nuts removed without any breakage.
Hope this helps

Ok,
I finally managed to dig through the big box-o-parts I have been accumulating for my Reatta and the cradle bushings I purchased were marked 1627359, as per the first post of this thread. FWIW, these were listed for the Reatta in the parts catalog at the dealer. Likely they are used for the Riviera as well, I'm guessing that this one part # super cedes all earlier variations/numbers for both the Reatta and Riviera. Anyway, this should settle the confusion over which to use.

I just ordered and received them from GMparts direct. Current list: $31.15, got them for 17 bucks apiece.

Didn't we have a thread just a few months ago by someone who replaced them. He reminded us that when removing the bushings that attach to the lower A-arm, be careful to ensure that the strut springs are compressed. The spring exerts a downward force on the A-arm so when the bushing bolt is loosened, look out. The earlier thread had part numbers for the bushings, the washer and the bolts. He also pointed out that the nut is probably just tack welded in and tends to break loose before the bolt is loose. I don't think there is access to the nuts with a wrench.

I would certainly go through a lot penetrating oils and heat to loosen those bolts before I would undertake that kind of work. I gotta say, Phil, your solutions are not always elegant, may often be labor-intensive, but you do go at the problem head-on and always end up getting the job done.
