The transverse muffler mounting limits your performance muffler choices to something that will fit an F-body car (Camaro/Firebird) with double inlets and outlets. Even then it's going to be oval instead of round, and will have to be angled to tuck up in there right. That will almost preclude using a ready-made system, because at least one set of pipes will be too long or too short to connect to the muffler.

Another option is a true dual system using chambered pipes ( http://www.sweet-thunder.com ) or bullet style glasspacks. To do this, you would put the chambered pipes or glasspacks in the normal muffler location. LH pipe would cross thru the muffler to exit on RH side, RH pipe exit on LH side. You will need resonators to quiet the bark down some, but a glasspack will function fine there too.

I recommend finding a COMPETENT exhaust shop that has a good set of program cards and a pipe bender who knows how to use them. Toronado exhaust pipes have flats and bends that HAVE to be made correctly to avoid rattles.

"That's a strange concept, Son" said my father as he sampled the day's run of silvery-clear moonshine for taste and quality. "Good 'shine, that. Your grandpap would be proud that the gift has passed on to another generation. But yes, it's real strange that some folks feel like a varmint has more right to illegally inhabit and destroy your property than you have to prevent it from doing it."

"Come to think of it, that's why your Uncle Reade sold off all them rental houses he had. It was costing him more to fix what the varmints tore up than he was making off 'em. And the govamint wouldn't let him evict them."
