Yippee!

As of April, 2007, South Carolina allows the use of Year of Manufacture (YOM) plates* on certain vehicles. Cars & trucks (maximum allowed 11,000 GVW) that are 30+ years old qualify, with some restrictions (natch).

For the SCDMV YOM regs & downloadable forms, go to:

http://www.scdmvonline.com/DMVNew/default.aspx?n=year_of_manufacture_plates

Now we can actually use those great plates* we've been stashing away for years!

Congratulations to you. I wish Pennsylvania would get in gear and pass such legislation.

Great! CA should follow that lead and make it easier to use them!
