About the only thing I don't have lined up right now is rides to/from airport/hotel/meet, but I'm not worried about those - taxis if necessary won't be an issue.

I imagine I'll see a few of you Thursday night, if not, at breakfast Friday morning...assuming I get some of the loot I've had shipped to Kris, I'll have something to share at the breakfast....

What? I have to give that stuff back, Derek? Bummer! I just thought you were sending me a nice literature collection.

By the way, looks like we'll be able to pick up those floor pans from Pete on the way back from San Antonio.

'Spose I'll have to give those back too....

Well, the breakfast buffet will be on your own, and I'll reserve some tables in the room for how many?? Would you like to collect the names? That would be way cool!

Hey, if people want to send me their names and how many breakfast reservations they need, send to :

stevobaich@verizon.net

In subject line put: Forum Breakfast

I think a deadline of the Saturday before the National ought to do it since I will probably not be home after that.

I'd like to welcome you all back to Flint. I'm an Eastsider, local GM autoworker and regular at area car shows. If there's anything I can do to help let me know at Flint4x4@aol.com

Loren

sorry about double registration, please delete the first one as the AOL e-mail address I used was the likely culprit

Are all Buick meets held in Flint? Would like to join, but can not see reason if all shows are half way accross the states.

Dick, the meet has been held all over the USA in years past, check out this web page of the list of BCA Nationals, some with pictures, and more to come eventually, probably after the 2008 meet as I have time. National Meets
The majority of the meets have been held in the Midwest and east coast areas because that's where the majority of the members live. The 2009 meet will be in Colorado Springs,CO, the first time in that area.
Just wondering where in NY you are located as there are many BCA Chapters in NY, only one area, does not have a Chapter and that would be in the Southern Tier/Binghamton Area, we are hoping some day that will happen, though! Check the Chapter listings Here
The 2008 Buick National will be one of a kind, since it is the 105th Anniversary of Buick and 100th Annivesary of General Motors and both will be celebrated the week of July 16-20 in Flint, MI, the birthplace of General Motors!
Please check out the link in the first post of the thread for more info

Just a reminder, if you are registering for the BCA 2008 meet, please include the $30 registration fee, whether you are bringing a car or not, or are just a swap meet vendor. This fee, provides you with a goodie bag, with the commerative license plate, car badge, program and door prize ticket, lanyards with your names for access to the Hospitality tent and more, which may otherwise cost you more money to purchase seperately. It also defers the cost of tents, porta-potties, and the hopsitality tent, for free donuts, coffee and snacks, and refreshments.
By the way, this will be an alchol free event, in case you wondered or cared, we will not be serving adult beverages.
And this registration ahead of time, helps us not to have to handle money at the Registration Table, thanks, though most of you on this Forum have done so, or I'd publicly shame you, not really, you are some of the best members to register!

Some of us may be driving right through Binghmton on Tuesday the 15th of July headed out to the meet. We'll drive as far as Plainesville Ohio and overnight at a Bed and Breakfast there, then continue on into Flint on Wednesday the 16th. You'd be more than welcome to join us. Let me know if you, or anyone else needs further information.

Are there any restrictions as to what a person is able to sell if registered as a vendor? My thoughts were to sell raffle tickets for some unique items in addition to the standard vendor fare.My idea was to have these items displayed in a chinese raffle type of situation and the winner for each item would be drawn and notified sometime on Saturday. My concern is that a few of the items I was considering are similar to what is being raffled by the host chapter, and my intent was not to interfere or take away from the host chapter's efforts.Thank You in advance for your help.Rich Morton
