New Postal Rates Effective Monday May 14, 2007

Just a reminder that on Monday, new postal rates go into effect. Basically,
1. a 1st class letter (for 1st ounce) is $.41
2. Increasing the price to mail a postcard from 24 to 26 cents
3. Reduces the rate for additional ounces of first-class mail from 24 cents to 17 cents
4. Basing first-class rates on package shape. For instance, boxes and large envelopes will cost more to send than letter-size envelopes of the same weight.

Judy, I like that second part (reduction of extra postage rate). My newsletters are always over weight!
