Merry Day after Christmas! Good Morning to you Wayne! Queen City Region has recieved their letter from Terry regarding the Web Award, I recieved a Master Webmaster award for our site... I don't think our newsletter recieved any though since I just became aware that the judges had been left off the mailing list all year!!! Oh well at least national got their copies! If anyone has the time to send me critiques on our site I would GREATLY appreciate it. I get ALOT of hits but no one ever tells me what I'm missing! Thanks!

Congratulations Matt!

I'll check out your web site as my son, Mike, handles our region's web site, and it certainly isn't perfect yet.

Tallahassee Region's web site received the Excellence Award (as well as Master Webmaster). I'm really proud of our site as it receives a lot of feedback from our membership (which is really the reason for it's existence!). This is the fourth in a row for us. Now if we could just hear from the "print" team, it will really make my trip to Philly a memorable event. See you all there.

Finally got some mail since the 20th. I was in Ga. at my sister's place for Christmas. Tried killing the mailman. Today's delivery included held mail which included one package weighting 67lbs!

I did find a letter for Master Webmaster for the NC Region site . Nothing for Alamance Region's Coil Wire..bummer . Speaking of that, need to get busy on this month's issue.

Congratulations - David. I guess I will see you in Philly.

OK - we have heard from several web editors. But where are the print editors? Some one must have won a Master's.

David - what about Jeanne Soehnlein and the NC Region News? Have you heard from her? Inquiring minds want to know?

Judy, this may come across as a little blunt, but I'm afraid that not that many editors even read this site, or any part of the web site for that matter.
I've had more than one say, "No, I never thought about checking the editor's forum out!" ?????

That's very disappointing to me, especially after you and so many others spend hours downloading AACA programs to help out everyone, and very few utilize what we have here. We need to mention this at the seminar this year, or better yet, we'll show it to them and demonstrate how easy it is to use.

Wayne

Congratulations David.

Wayne is the editors seminar only going to be on Friday? Since this will be my first year in attaendance "just a note" it would be great if someone could point me to a schedule? Was there one in the magazine that I missed ? I am stuck at work until Saturday but would love to be in attendance!
Thanks,
Matt

I haven't heard anything but would think she'd have it again this year.

Hopefully this time to Philly I won't have back problems like this year. Nothing worse than sitting through a seminar with your back killing you. The only relief I had was lying on the bed in my room.

Matt, the complete schedule hasn't been finished yet. We're set up to follow a Chrysler seminar at 11:30am until 12:45pm on Friday. I intend to hang around through the lunch hour to help out anyone else that wants information. I'd like to be able to work with editors one-on-one in using the web site for informational purposes, newsletter filler, so forth.

This web site is a valuable library full of information that so many editors are not taking advantage of. We need to spread the word.

Matt, if you don't make it until Saturday, catch up with me around the Web Site booth which should be beside the Young Group again this year. The registration counter can send you in the right direction.

Would there be a way to post some features from the seminars on the website for those of us who are unable to make it to Philly?

Dawn, there won't be any written program, per se. We'll have an outline, and I know for a fact we'll be covering the new Awards Program (NAAP), which is now in the last Rummage Box, on-line. Also, the new Editor's Manual will be covered. You can also read that now on the web site. I'll see if I can take notes and post them after the Philly weekend.

Dick Tarr contacted me today and said that his wife, Elaine, has received a Master Editor Award for the Historic Virginia Peninsular Region here in Virginia.

Elaine also received a Master Webmaster Award. Way to go, Elaine!

Congratulations - Elaine! I am not sure for how many years she has been a double Master winner but it is quite a few. What an accomplishment. She is a very talented and creative lady-in my opinion!
