The Winter 2006 Rummage Box is now on-line! Rummage Box

Please Note: if you received a hard copy in the mail, there are two corrections you need to make to Earl Beauchamp's article on the NEW Newsletter Achievement Awards Program (NAAP) which is on pages 6 and 7.
------------------------
Item # 5 and #6 should read -

5.Photos present somewhere in the newsletter....10

6. Photo quality overall (01 to 05) .........5max
----------------------
Please make these corrections to your copy. If you like to download a new copy of the Rummage Box or just the NAAP score sheet itself, please use the above link. You can save the file by right-clicking on the file name and then choosing where on your hard drive you want to save the file.

Hi Everyone,

First, I want to thank Judy Edwards for catching those reversed scores before posting the NAAP Scoresheet on line.

Second, let me say that if your are an Editor, please take time to read my Rummage Box article and peruse the score sheet. While looking at the score sheet, you may have trouble following the lines across from the item and description to the score totals. At least on my printer it didn't print out like the score sheet is made. That said, let me tell you Editor's that when the letter goes out from Hershey soon after the Philadelphia meeting, you will receive a clean copy of the score sheet.

If you aren't an Editor, and your Editor doesn't come on line, or doesn't have internet, please try to get this word to that person to help them get ready for 2007. Let's hope this new program helps out a lot of Editor's, helps them get National Awards, and all or most of them feel like the NAAP (Newsletter Achievement Awards Program) has leveled the playing field.

Best Regards, Earl Beauchamp, Jr., VP - Publications

If you want to print out a copy of either the Rummage Box or the NAAP score sheet DO NOT print from the on-line html version. It probably will not print correctly. Instead print from the pdf file. You can either open it on-line and then print it. Or -

1. Click with the RIGHT mouse button on the file name you want to download.

2. You should now be able to see a menu in the browser window (the context menu) - from this menu choose "Save Target As" (Internet Explorer) or "Save Link As" (Netscape) option.

3. A 'Save as...' window will appear.

4. Choose the folder where you want to save the file.

If you still can't get it to print out, please send me an email and I can send you a Word document file.

Judy great meeting you in Philly! Wayne I tried to meet you too but you never stopped moving! I love the new process it will make for a level playing field!! Just a note to any editors or editors helpers out there: IT's OK TO ASK QUESTIONS!!! I must say that even though I am experienced in using Publisher I learned more in 10 minutes of watching Judy in philly assisting another member than I did in probably all of my first year in using the program! We all learn from the questions of others! The rest of you editors that read the forums I ask PLEASE also post your "lessons learned" so that the rest of us can benefit from your knowledge as well. - Wayne & Judy THANK YOU for all that you do!

Thank you for the kind words Matt. I really wish you had cornered me so I could have shaken your hand. As far as helping everyone, people would come up to our web site and ask a question of me, and I would say, "Judy will be glad to help you!"

"I'm the mouth, Judy is the brain!"

We work well together!
