Go to places like Cars.com, Autotrader, and this site to find comparable 1990 Reattas with similar mileage. Print the ads and take them to you insurance company. Refuse to accept the offer....... the insurance company wants to settle with you ASAP,

Saw that clip a few days ago on one of the TV networks. Sure hope the owner of that truck and trailer has more than the state minimum amount of insurance coverage because he/she is going to need it. That is going to be a very costly claim to pay for

Here is an update on my pot metal generator end housing problem. I gave the pattern maker the go ahead to make the pattern off of the original Remy 917-R end housing. I will have an aluminum casting in a few monthes to machine.

Thnx, will send him a mail. It does not fit properly anymore saying that it sits just loose ans moves around when the engine is running. Somehow little metal thingy is gone that provides a snug fit.

Yeah it's most definately an "assembly" that's not not made to be repaired. Mine seems OK. I think I'll just use your system. If I find a bad one I'd like to try playing with it to see what I could do to rebearing it.........Bob

What a coincidence....ALL of my lights work properly, EXCEPT the headlight and windshield wiper buttons don't light up as much as the rest (ie shifter, window, and mirror backlights). You can kind of see the lit words "low" "high"

57Roadmaster75: Rustysheperd has it right, you only need to push the accelerator pedal far enough to engage the starter. If the engine is already running, the starter should not engage in a properly maintained car if the accelerator pedal is sudden

JCK: If the 39 Buick Series 90 has been sitting for a while it is possible that rust on the surface of the flywheel and the clutch pressure plate are stuck to the clutch disk. If you can push down on the clutch pedal and start the car and the engine

Jerry, If yours has pin holes on the outside, it is likely that the internal baffles are also corroded. And there are likely some very thin areas. The baffles are important to ensure proper flow of coolant past each of the 8 cylinders. I personally

Ed, I think you are correct on your observations. I have original paperwork as well as window sticker and such. I too am second owner but the car was handed down to me. There is no mention in sales stuff or even on Buick's literature for 65 about
