I sent a message to the auction company and ask about the engine. They said it was modified as described in the auction listing (a standard statement when they don't know what was done)

I also ask about it being street legal....

Well I think the valve timing off I don't have any vacuum at the carb. so it can't suck fuel.

Haven't had that problem, but have heard of similar situations where either the headlight switch or the IPC were the culprit....What year do you have?

Just got back from Colorado Springs. Reg unleaded was selling for $3.51-$3.71 depending on the station.

But E85 was $2.59 per gallon. And yes, I checked, it was not a mistaken price on the sign.

I've cut way back, my 69 GS only gets 9 to 11 mpg!!!(super is $4.25 gal here!). So, I'll be lucky if I make 2 to 4 shows this year!!! I've only had it out 1 time this year so far.(that was a 15min drive :()
