Alan, my friend checked the frame and said it was solid. Do you know anyone in the East who could look at it for you if you are interested. I would have to remove the engine and accessories and the body. Louis

I can get you a quart of green color used for the 6 Cyl Hupmobile. The two photos were taken at the same time, one is shaded and the other in the light.

I just discovered that my '42 Century has one and a half, okay, two stripped lug bolt holes in the front hub. Other than replacement of the hub, what other options are there to repair the threads? Has anyone used Heli-coils ? Did GM use these hubs

I was using a local Chevrolet dealer to service and repair my 89 Chevy 2500 pickup. This incident happened about 5 years ago and caused me to never go back. I had been going there for about 8 years and was reasonably satisfied with them. This truc

One more thing.

I wouldn't throw a 200 year old Aubusson carpet on the floor of my kitchen

I wouldn't serve the kids breakfast on the Wedgewood china

I wouldn't rebuild a carburetor on a Chippendale sideboard

I need a front hub, with or without brake drum, to fit a '42 -'48 Buick Century or Roadmaster. Mine has two stripped lug bolt holes, these hubs may have been used even later, I don't have a parts interchange manual. Doug Mumaw 360-279-8061

I need a '42 or later, at least up to '48, series 60-70 front hub, with or without brake drum. My hub has two stripped lug bolt holes, and I'm not sure of how late of a hub will fit, not having a parts interchange manual. Doug Mumaw 360-279-8061

Chris,
Your '91 engine has the oil level sender plug on the back of the engine and the oil pan is in fact somewhat different from the '88-'90 engines. You also want to be looking at the opposite/ back side of the pan.

Can anyone tell me who supplied the factory wire wheels on the Roosevelt? The hubs have a flange where they bolt to the drums, that look kind of like a sprocket with flat teeth. The teeth are 3/8" wide and are spaced 3/8" apart.

Thanks,
