Sounds like you really should pick up a Reatta Factory Service Manual (FSM)for your model year, these Reattas are a slightly different breed and to do most anything with the electrical/electronic system you should have a FSM avaiable. You

I worked on several Velie's for a now deceased friend. One was a 1916 and the other was a 1922 Depo Hack. If I remember correctly, I belive they used a Continetal 6 cyinder motor. Also the Velie family had ties to the Famous John Deere company. Dav
