I think there was an English sports car called the Squire made in the 30s of which 3 were made and all 3 survive.
At about the same time Triumph made a copy of the Alfa Romeo straight eight sports car. I think they made 3 or 4 of those and

Add on heaters apparently date to the mid 20s. The first car with a built in heating and ventilating system was the 1939 or 40 Nash Weather Eye.
Heaters remained optional on most cars until the 60s I think.
