Thanks for the suggestion brh! I'm going to look at it tomorrow. I'm relatively certain it is not the battery because the first thing I tried when it first would not start was jumping the car, but that did not help. I also ran a few tests on the batt

I'm in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. Does anyone know if there's a chapter of the Chrysler Club around here. I've got a '49 Chrysler Windsor that needs a new home. It's all orignal, and in good condition. Has new wide whitewall tires and new battery.

Hi Jon, I was reading old posts and would like to offer a comment about the chrome plated central "stack" in 1941 Buicks. They are all interchangeable between the various series, however, the 90 Series central panel differs, from the other

Liz If I remember my Olds' correctly from my 50's and 60' hot rod days, the 49 thru 54 were 303 ci and the 54, 55 and 56 were 324 ci. The same engine with diffrerent bores. The 371 ci was in 57 and 58 and carried over into 59 when the 394 ci was in

Loss of the cam sensor may make it run poorly but it will run. Magnet is also a 30 minute replacement (but let it sit overnight to let the glue dry). Bad crank sensor will keep the engine from running.

geor I agree with pete324rock. Why not use the later hydramatic that fits the 371/394 and eliminate a few of the head aches? Since you seem to want a performance improvement and are not concerned about retaining the completely stock look of the 30
