Hi Huptoy,
Thank you very much. I would take you up on your kind offer but I think the postage on paint to New Zealand would be prohibitive. I can get some mixed and get it very close to yours I think. Thank's so much for your help again, per

I would not ever use stainless, the sound is indeed way off,
the stainless transfers way more heat into the car,the expansion is far more then a steel one, thus giving way too much pressure on your manifold, pipe and muffler fittings

Call Steve Babinsky in New Jersey - his system will fit. He is a restorer of top flight cars and knows 32 - 34 Packards well. I don't like stainless as it sounds too sporty for a Packard, it definitely has a harsher sound. Most repop mufflers just do

To a large extent I doubt anyone really cares if authentic options are added to almost any car. The show field at any AACA or other event in reality looks nothing like the typical street scenes of yesteryear. As a "for instance", look at any 1940

Per their website, they have been in business for two whole years. The owner has a yahoo.com email address. Numerous spelling and grammatical errors. Looks like a 6 year old built the website. No references.

Not someone I would trust.

If retroactive means "original options" then sure, whether it's a 79 chevy or a packard or maxwell or wills st claire.

If retroactive mean "aftermarket parts" then I'd say no.

Jump to new posts Correct Hose Clamps for 1948 Special by JPIndusi     Yesterday at 10:51 PM

Did the 1948 Buicks use the Wittek "T" type hose clamps or did they use the wire type clamps with the screw on the side for tightening?
Thanks.

Get your drill out. The Reatta was built and sold with very few options that would have required extra holes through the fire wall. So drilling is the only way I have been able to run a good thick power wire. Just make sure you use a good bushing to

Not going. I really wanted to. Several factors.
1) Not a judged show. I was chided for not being judged at Rochester, thought this would be a good chance to see where I am at.
2) Expense.
3) Time.
4) I would rather take my 61 Co

Simple answer: No, but I wish I did. I've looked all over for it and that was one of the reasons I went to Oshawa in 2006. What I have is all makes of GM of Canada year by year (1908 - 1971), including those makes that are Canadian
