Good to know.. Ill check all of those. I also had a similar problem, but never bothered to check anything but the radio fuse itself.. i figured the clock ran off the battery power wire and the radio off a fused accessory line.. but never thought of

OOPS! Not sure what I was thinking. Maybe I was blinded by the lights It does have the West "trifecta". Chrome wheels, whitewalls and too many lights.

If the original paint is sound, free of peeling, checking, etc., there is reason to sand it off. You will never be able to put on a better coat of primer, at home, than the 60 year old paint that you now have. I'm 60 and I'm still good.

The fuse that I found blowm was iin the panel under the dashboard. It is not designated as a radio fuse on my vehicle. It is called an accessory on the fuse panel itself. It is a 20 amp fuse; it is in slot number 16. However, on the placard next

I have some info on the Moore if you're still looking. I was produced in Tilton, Il at the former Danville Car Works 1917 - 1920.

The site later became General Motors' Central Foundry, later Powertrain plant through mid 90s

Hi RTMartens & 56BuickSuper, i dont now how it is by a ' 56 but it was not easy to hold the starter with one hand horizontal and in my other hand a small wrench.

Not sure what kind of generator and regulation you have. If your car is from the 1930s or earlier then it could have third brush regulation of current. And if it is from the early 1930s or earlier then the only regulation probably has is third brush
