Ran the exhaust 2 1/2" all the way through. Went with a high flow spun cat with a ceramic core and a magnaflow ss muffler. The result was more than I had ever hoped to achieve. The engine actually has a deep mellow tone, not tinny with back pressure popping during deceleration. I was concerned that I was going to give up a quiet pleasant ride for so so performance. Boy was I ever surprised.

I was wrong on the converter core material , it has a metal core.It is a pace setter converter. The muffler was a Magnaflow ultraflow ss, and a beautiful set of chrome tips. All of the parts were purchased from Jegs and ran me about $575.00 including the pipe work .

Kinda like a whole 'nuther car now isn't it cool It is shocking what a good exhaust does for a turbo car with a few mods...

Yes Lou.
Jeff, The car spools up extremely quick. So much so that I do not really like to run my car that hard.
The sound is a deep mellow sound for a 4 cylinder. No popping in the exhaust during deceleration. I did not end up with an obnoxious noise maker. I have to say that I was very pleased. Thanks all of you for your past post
. That helped me decide what I wanted to do.
