I believe I've seen one or two in my life, but the '68 Chevelle brochure only shows Concours Sports Sedan and Concours Estate wagon. Could the Concours Sport Coupe have been a mid-year model and thus not have been in the brochure?

This is driving me nuts! It's been years and years since (I'm pretty sure) I've seen one. They had a notchback front seat with center armrest.

I think you may have seen a '69 Concours sport coupe.it was added in '69 with the sedan & wagon and convertible.The concours was a 135 dollar option on this three models.

I'm pretty sure I only ever remember seeing a '68 Concours coupe, and '69 Concours sport sedans and wagons. But from a carmaker as large as Chevy, these Concours coupes (if they did happen!) are sure a mystery. I'd love to find a piece of factory literature on them.

I used to work in two different Chevrolet dealerships in the late sixty's / early seventy's and never seen or even heard of a 68 Chevelle Concours Coupe.

Steve, do you remember the Concours Sport Sedan (four-door hardtop)? They were very rare, but I've seen more of them than the coupes I THINK I remember seeing!

According to my book, the 1967 model year had a Chevelle Concours Estate station wagon. It was a luxury station wagon of the Chevelle line featuring special black-accented grille, synthetic woodgrain exterior side and tailgate paneling (with bright outline trim), front and rear wheelhouse moldings, ribbed, gray accented body sill moldings, tailgate emblem badge for Concours identification and rear fender Concours script. Interiors were trimmed in textured vinyl. The passenger floor was carpeted and the cargo load floor had a vinyl coating.Series #137 and Body/Style #35.

For 1968 there was also a Chevelle Concours Sport Sedan. The wagon was a sub-series then and had all GM safety features as standard eqipment.

There was none for 1969.

I have my Mom's bone stock, always garaged 68 Concours Coupe. Mom was original owner. If you'd like pictures I can send them to you.
Since I have this rare, weird Chevelle, I've learned alot about it. It was an Luxury option on Malibu Coupe in 68. It has a Concours emblem on the steering wheel, (black and tan rectangle with a "fleur de lis" on top, (also the center cap in the 14 inch stainless steel wheel covers have the same black background concours emblem. Buick GS400 Interior, with a fold down center arm rest. It has the long door armrests 16 inch, Concours emblems on front fender sides, Concours nameplate on decklid, with the extremeley rare die cast finned trim piece between the brakelights. Concours optioned cars and wagons had a fake woodgrain plate with "Concours" on it above the glovebox. Wheel opening trim is painted black in the center, and other chevelle options were thrown into the bargain, vinyl top, (mine still has the original) bumper guards, extra cost motor 327. GM Did'nt really acknowledge much in the way of literature on this wierd trim package of 68 Chevelle. 68 Concours, it sounds like a super car you have also. I would like to see pictures if that is possible. I am always interested in the different or rarely seen. Thanks for the information.

Man, I'd love to see photos of your Mom's Concours Coupe! I was at Hershey over the weekend and even looked in the big '68 Chevrolet Showroom Sales Album at one vendor's spot...not a mention of the Concours Sport Coupe!
