Yep, their pictures are so dark I couldn't see much under hood and on dash (I didn't want to take the time to edit brightness of pics), but I didn't see anything that a little sand-paper and paint wouldn't fix. The restored upholstery is not exactly as original, but that's minor.
Great car! I would park it in my front yard. laugh

Heck by the time I get to my interior I probably have to use egg crates. This body work is killing me. O well back out to garage to spray another coat of epoxy. Then fix my curtains tomorrow (runs that is) crazy

OK I'll bite

Bad woodgraining
incorrect lighter
incorrect ignition switch
incorrect switch above ignition switch
copper lines
strange looking line from vacuum on firewall going to carb?
orange cap on starter
water cover is chromed
coil on firewall
Doors look like they are sagging
Ugly and incorrect upholstery

Looks like most of the incorrect stuff is reversable.

Entirely wrong luggage rack, Super 8 bumper, wrong hubcaps, numerous engine details wrong. Rear bumper is from a car with a rear mounted spare.

Without seeing any "Before" pictures, credit should be given to the person that restored a car that may have been in poor condition. At least it is more or less original and doesn't have a Chevy V-8, automatic transmission, and air conditioning.

Wow, from all the comments, I expected to see a train wreck of a car like some of the other monstrosities we've seen here. Are we even looking at the same car? I see a pretty nice, clean, usable Packard sedan for what I might consider a good price. I'm not digging the colors and the door sag bothers me. The upholstery isn't very tight, but it certainly isn't ugly or even horribly incorrect-looking. I expected pillow-top red velour or something the way you guys were talking about it. The rear bumper definitely looks wrong, but that can be remedied. You aren't going to get a #1, completely authentic car for $38K.

I'd buy that car and happily drive the doors off it, minor details be damned.

The one everyone missed....
Look at the back of the headlights, there are jewels. Those came only on super 8s.. not standard 8s.

I didn't miss that. I thought it was too obvious after the seller admitted to have the incorrect front bumper and headlights. I did miss the rear bumper and hupcaps.

OK on to the next car we pick apart on Ebay smile

That Super 8 front bumper is worth $3500 or more to someone with a car that needs it. I have seen one sell for $4500 at Hershey. The luggage rack is apparently from a '30. The proper rear bumper should be one piece. Still, appears to be a nice driveable car.

I could be wrong but I thought the Super 8 bumper was available as an upgrade for the standard 8. I just can't figure out why the restorer painted the starter cap orange and then chromed the water jacket cover.

More bling! Man, More Bling! laugh

Yes, I think those bumpers with Bounce-dampeners were optional, for a smoother ride.

Ken, the bumper upgrade was an option, but, in old photos, I've never seen it done...B

Very unlikely anyone would upgrade a bottom of the line 901 with those bumpers in my opinion. I could use that rear bumper, same as '33 1001 with rear mount spare. Those front bumper ends are filled with thick oil, springs, and 17 lb lead weights. If you take the cap off one and aren't carefull your office ceiling will end up with a nice "Rorschach" oil stain, don't ask me how I know...
