hi
16" x 1.5", someone thought this pair was for 55 plymouth belvedere but I cant see that on any pictures of 55 belvederes.
I am confident it is a "forward look" Chrysler part. thanks for your time and help. Know anyplace I can go on internet with the parts numbers listed and identified for each year of forward look parts?

the second photo shows part #1593435 which measures 16.25" x 1.5" or 2.5" including the V. Someone thought it was fror 55 plymouth belvedere but I cant see it on any picture of55 belvedere.
thanks for your time and help,

Jerry,
According to the 1955-58 mopar parts book, 1593-435 is for the left side of P-27 1955 Plymouths with V8. The other pieces since you didnt list a number may be for 6cyl 1955 Plymouths.

The piece without the V is for the 6 cylinder Plymouth Belvedere. Both were used on the 1955 Belvedere models without the Sportone side trim - which means the sedans and wagons.

You do not see many 1955 Plymouth Belvederes with them as many seem to forget about the pieces when restoring their cars.

The pieces were also used on Canadian 1955 Dodge Mayfair models as well as export Dodge Kingsway Custom and DeSoto Diplomat Custom models.

They were installed on the rear fender above the wheel opening at the forward end of the crease running from the bottom of the taillamps.
