try sms auto fabrics but may be quite pricey.Try an upholstry shop that does nice chairs and curtains and take a look thru their massive collection of books of samples-you might be surprised,thats how I found a black material for my seat that was quite similar to the origianl.I was trying to post a picture from "my pictures" of upholstry samples for olds in 1956 but could not attach it.I have seen that "brick" pattern you describe.Another is "original auto interiors" here is a link:
