While restoring my 53 Super I finally got to the fuel tank and its a total mess, rust inside and outside. I think its beyond fixing. Does anyone have an address or phone # of someone or some place so I can get a replacement tank. I've spent a lot of time searching but keep coming up empty. Any help appreciated. Don53

I would recommend a gas tank renu dealer. Sure did a nice job on my 56 tank. Pulled out a huge dent and you can't tell it was ever crushed. Going on 5 years now.

Gave GAS TANK RENU a call, only to find out the company is country wide. Found an outfit in the LA area and everything is going to work out. Tried EBAY and his tank measurement didnt match mine. Thanks Don53

I have a good, spare, used gas tank from a 1950 Buick Roadmaster. You might want to coat the inside of it before using, but there are no rust holes in the tank. $50 plus shipping if interested. Will fit 1949-1953 Buicks.

Pete. From what I have read the 53 super and roadmaster was a one year tank for these two models only. Ive taken my tank to gas tank renu. After talking to them, they seem to do a pretty thorough job. The guy told me that they even sandblast the interior of the tank, before sealing it. They guarantee their work for life (what ever that means). Sounds like they can repair any tank in any condition. It costs a little more. Thanks for the offer. But I will see if this route is worth it. Don53
