Will a 1948 pontiac flathead 8 and hydramatic trans swap into a 1948 oldsmobile that had a flathead 8 and a hydramatic without a lot of work???

The hydramatic should be interchangable. However the engines may not be. The motor mounts may be different and/or in different locations. If so the swap could be done with some fabrication of new motor mounts.

If you have to do fabrication to make the sway, why not put in a 49 to 56 Olds V8 with Hydramatic. Or, maybe even a later model Olds 394 V8.
