I used Hi Temp and it wasn't that expensive. Go that way.

Did as Tom did, rustoleum black high temp (1200 degree) barbeque grill paint. Worked great.

Just be prepared for some smoke and stench the first time you run the car. Go for a nonstop drive for a while.

Yup, I've still got the can, and Bar BQ grill paint is what I used.
