I am still looking at a 47-48 Station Sedan. It is rough but restorable. It is missing one rear fender and one rear door. Some of the wood appears to be missing.

1. It looks like there were wood "inserts" in each door as I see one door otherwise complete but there is a cut out section where I think wood existed.

2. Did these have wood floors in the back? I think they did.

3. Are the fenders and doors regular 4 door versions, easily replaced by one of many Super 4 doors around?

There are several Websites dedicated to Woodies, so you may want to see if those have forums or a way to ask questions there.

Those Packard woodies never looked finished... They needed wood on the front and back fenders to match the doors....IMHO.... B

That's one reason that there were not many of them made, I guess. But I think car designers made a Big mistake not using more varnished Real wood. It has such a warm natural look that I always really liked.
