I have a 71 newyorker with a green vinal top I would like to change it to white, and it was suggested to me that if it was still good I might just die it. Does anyone know if that can be dome or would it be faster and easer to remove it and put a new one on? If it can be done where do I get the die? Any and all suggestions will be helpful. Will be looking for your replys. Thanks to everyone

Auto paint stores should have a product for this.

If the vinyl is in very good condition, no tears, the embossed patttern is intact you can paint the top with a special flexible paint, the same product is used for wrapped steering wheels and seats/door skins.
As Rusty said, your local auto paint jobber can set you up with the right products.
