I was able to locate are refurbish a radio for my 1938 Dodge Business Coupe. I am currently using a late model radio antenna but I would like to install the proper type and style. I would like to have a picture of the appropriate location and style of radio antenna. My research so far indicates that a cowl mount radio antenna was used. Any help would be appreciated.

My 38 D8 came to me with this broken antenna mounted on the side of the cowl. Don't know if it's correct but that's where my new one will go. Copy/paste the photo link. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v154/olddodges1/38%20D8%20coupe%20CLYDE/MVC-014F.jpg

Dear Reg, I really am grateful for the picture of your '38 Dodge coupe radio antenna placement. I had one other picture that showed the cowl antenna placement on the drivers side, but your picture is much clearer. Thank you very much.

My 38 Dodge did not come with a radio, but, had carriage bolts in the side cowl where yours are pictured. Removed them and installed an antenna like pictured.

My '38 radio (now in the attic) had the antenna mounted under the passenger side running board.

How does the one look which is bolted under the running board?
