Well now that it's in pieces I guess I'm missing her so I found the photo of the day we met.

Very nice. The photos don't make it look like it needed a restoration....

Very nice. The photos don't make it look like it needed a restoration.... I wish I could drive the pictures. It did photograph well and honestly wasn't in terrible shape but like anything else it gained a lot of steam once I started to change anything. The top was horrible (it was a poorly done replacement) so I said i'll get a new top. Then it became that a new top would look terrible with a paint job that was cracking so it needed paint. Well then why do that and not re-chrome. Next thing you know the car is in pieces.

I certainly understand and appreciate the term "mission creep" as it pertains to cars we love. My '39 81-c,a 1989 BCA Senior car,is currently in the midst of a restoration which started out as fixing some areas of bad paint. Best of luck, and may no significant discoveries be made in the process.

The last of the special built pedal cars will be going up for sale at the RM Auctions in Scottsdale in January. Built by the renown restorer Fran Roxas, this "Dusey" is truly is another work of art.
