I recently aquired a 1926 Standard six Coach and have many questions. The car has no motometer or dash mounted radimeter. Is this normal? Is there an outlet in the waterjacket that could be used to install an after market unit? If so where is it? The car currently has Autolite 3076 spark plugs. The car runs well but I don't know if these are the proper plugs or not. I know the 3076 is a medium heat plug. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. I will have many more questions to come as I get familiar with the car.

The way I installed a temperature gauge was to replace the upper radiator hose with two short rubber hoses and a lengeth of 1" OD brass tubing. I had the Radimeter Gland nut that came with the after market temperature gauge milled to the radius of the tubing. I then silver soldered the gland nut to the tubing. Then, using a drill larger than the temperature sensor diameter, drill a hole through the center of the gland nut and brass tubing. With this done it is a simple matter to screw the temperature gauge sensing tube into the gland nut so that it protrudes into the cooling water.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the suggestion Ken. I will certainly look into this. Wher did you get the brass tubing?
