the wildcat i just saved from the boneyard has finally made it home. the only problem i have now it to try to get the trunk open. the yard guy didnt have any keys for it. got any ideas. heres a few pics for thought.

You may get lucky, many of these had a vacuum trunk release pump located in the glove box. If so, hope it is still functional.

You should be able to take a broomstick handle and cut a shallow groove on one end and then poke it into the trunk and slip it over the lock extension and give it a quarter turn. This should open it.

Where is the challenge?

In less time than it took to take pics and post I would have come up with a 1/2" socket and long extension. You can see the lock striker mounting bolts, get to work.

You can also take the glove box lock set to a locksmith and he can duplicate the trunk key off of that - at least I did that with my 63 Pontiac Bonneville
