I was looking for parts in an OLD junk yard and came across a 1950 "88" convertible rusting away. Should I buy it to part out before it gets crushed? Thanks, Dorsey
If the price is right and you have a place to store it, get it. If I had a place to store another car, I would go for a 50 convert or fastback in a heartbeat.

Figure on spending somewhere in the area of $25,000 plus to bring it back if it's in poor condition. I restored 2 '61 for a museum here in '04 and '06 and they ran about $30,000; they were in poor condition, but like new now.
The last of the special built pedal cars will be going up for sale at the RM Auctions in Scottsdale in January. Built by the renown restorer Fran Roxas, this "Dusey" is truly is another work of art.
