I was looking for parts in an OLD junk yard and came across a 1950 "88" convertible rusting away. Should I buy it to part out before it gets crushed? Thanks, Dorsey

If the price is right and you have a place to store it, get it. If I had a place to store another car, I would go for a 50 convert or fastback in a heartbeat.

Figure on spending somewhere in the area of $25,000 plus to bring it back if it's in poor condition. I restored 2 '61 for a museum here in '04 and '06 and they ran about $30,000; they were in poor condition, but like new now. smile
