To anyone out there who knows about '62 Buick gas tanks---I'm trying to drain bad gas out of a 62 gas tank. There is not a visible drain plug to drain this tank. Any ideas besides removing the tank; first removing the muffler, etc. Thanks (I do not have a '62 Buick manual handy)

You can buy a small pump, either hand or electric, that will pump the fuel out of the tank through the filler neck. Once you get the gas flowing, the tank will empty itself via siphon.

I'd try that before removing the tank and trying to dump it out--heavy and messy!

Good luck.

Hi and thanks for the info on gas tank....I had about come to the same conclusion--hand pumping it out. Wonder why Buick did that, not putting in a drain plug??
