Okay,

One more try; why is it that no one but Wayne B. can post pics to the Gallery? I'm jonesing for the ability to post pix,
and can't figure out why we're into this for three weeks now.

Not complaining, mind you, just curious...

Respectfully,
TG

Tom, I think my admistrative power probably allows me more leverage.

I'm sure Peter will have it straightened out before long.

Guilty as charged! Too bad the Member's Only jacket doesn't fit the same way as when I got it 25 years ago from the telecom contractor I worked for.

The photo was for a MO jacket joke, BTW.

Where did you get the shelving for you model cars? I have 60 or 70 1/43rd scale models and the shelving in the background of your Members Only jacked photo looks perfect. Thanks - John

John,

Good eye, bad jacket...this is actually a fluorescent light cover made of wood from the '70's. It was originally a natural finish, but I painted it decades ago to make the cars' colors pop; there's room for 72 cars.

It shouldn't be too hard to replicate, if you're handy that way; here's a link to a much larger image.

If I looked around in boxes, in the attic, basement and my brother's house, I'd probably be able to find a significant number of cars, trucks and trailers exactly like those.
All bought new for about 50¢ back in the late 1960s
Thanks for the photo and the nostalgia trip.
