hey guys

Just got a 36 ford truck out of my dads barn after 45 years of sitting. Over all nice condition.

Questions for the experience. Pulled plugs a botlle of marvel mistery oil and pulled with tracto rin second gear, mototr turn over.

ok question now I have fresh battery cables on and want to hook a 6 volt battery to it. Want to see if motor will turn over and what compression is like.

Do I connect the positive battery post to the lead that goes to frame or does it go to starter switch in floor which will go to starter???

more questions to follow

thanks in advance

unless changed at some time in the past, these are all positive ground systems

Jim

When did Ford change to negative ground? I have messed with a lot of old flathead V8's in my many years and I don't recall them being positive ground.
