Hello, Recently I purchased a 28 or 9 sedan with the straight 6 in it. Im only 24 and dont know anyone who can help me out with this car so i joined the group hopeing to get some assistence with the restoration of this car. Unlike other guys my age im not looking to chop or channel the car i want to put it back to original.
As far as the vacum fuel pump i see its mounted on the firewall. Now there are alot of drilled holes in the fire wall, not rust holes, but none of them match up to mount the 4 holes for the vacuum pump. is there somewhere else its mounted. i dont want to just drill the holes in the wall. thanks

Younggun, good for you buying an old DB. What model sedan do you have? The vacuum tank should mount on the passenger side firewall. If you don't have a owner's manual I think the AACA library does. They can copy and send it to you for a few dollars. At the top of this page under "resources" look for the library and go to on line search and type in 1928 Dodge Brothers. You can ask your questions here on down in the DB section.

In 1915 Buick mounted the vacuum tank on the intake manifold. I don't know about Dodges, but check for U clamps to see if it was mounted this way.
