Hi,
I am a relatively new member, and I live within 50 miles of Flint. I would like to meet the Reatta folks, but am not staying at the motel. I also plan to have a swap space at the BCA meet. Is the best time to drop by the Wingate Friday or Saturday??

Since the swap meet will keep you pretty busy, you might want to come late. After most people eat, they come back to the Wingate and talk.

Wednesday would be good.
Thursday the Reatta people have the roundtable from 1:00 until 4:00 then the Rendezvous and it will probably be after 8:00 before anyone is back.
Friday might be good, I don't see any schedule conflicts that day.
Saturday the Reatta people will be on the showfield most of the day....after 8:00 pm on Saturday may be good also.

I always bring a wash bucket along with soap and a few sponges for others to use. Maybe this year I should bring a hose and nozzle, or have arrangements been made for the motel to have one? Five years ago they let us wash cars in the back on the side facing the expressway. Hopefully thats OK this year, too.

To Barney and Others heading to Flint. I will not be able to come this year. Was really looking forward to seeing old friends and kicking tires in the parking lot at the Wingate. A neat hotel in a nice office part.

I have not yet cancelled my reservation in the Wingate. I plan to do that in a day or so, and wondered if rooms were still available? If not and you want one, maybe we can tie my cancel with your needs. If they have a waiting list that probably might not work. Let me know soon..

Unfortunately, at this point it doesn't look like I'll be able to make it. Am cancelling two rooms at the Wingate if someone needs them...just give them a call. Feel bad about not being there. Hopefully a BCA meet will be on the east coast again before too long. Will miss seeing Barney, Jim, Ed and everyone. frown
