Mr. Earl,

First, please understand this is no criticism of you. But that guy selling that car on ebay is in THE worst possible taste.

Does this moron realize Jayne Mansfield's daughter, Mariska Hargitay, is still very much alive? I wonder if that seller would like it if his parents died in a car crash and someone decided to use their death car in a public spectacle?

With all the weirdos in the world (not to mention the gazillion Goths out there who would think this car is neat) I wouldn't be surprised if some guy with more money than brains buys it and misuses it.

Wow, what a lack of taste!

Joe

Joe, I expect the auction was deliberately timed around the crash anniversary. The car has been on a morbid show and museum circuit virtually since right after the crash anyway, displayed in a glass enclosure- which I expect was as much to stifle the death stench as anything.

I believe all three of the little Hargitays who survived the crash are still alive, along with Jayne's two other children.

Let's get off that gory subject with this little fender bender smile

Wonder what could have crumbled this. The old rounded top (arch) fenders could take some impact before even bending, so wonder what could have hit this.

Here's another one, from a much more recent time. This car was once a Bugle feature car. A few years later, while parked on the side of the street, it was hit badly.
