I have a NOS aftermarket Mr Gasket 3 speed shifter, it is still in the box, the applications are shown, seems it would work well for you

The box says it will work but it won't. In the 30's 40's and early 50's Olds, Pontiac, and buick used the same type trans, chevy was different. Has to be for a selector shaft type trans. Thanks for your time. Skip
