Hi Everyone - two sidemount questions:

1. Buick badge on the sidemount cover
I've seen cars with and cars without this on the hubcap part of the sidemount cover. Is this a model difference [I noticed more Limiteds dont seem to have it - or are they just hiding - as I noticed the wheel sits lower in well for the Limiteds I've looked at? whereas Specials I have looked at do. What is correct for a Limited and is there any difference for a McLaughlin-Buick in this regard? The Mclaughlin brochure does show the cars with the trim but it says 'Buick' so not sure if thats right or not. If it is right where can I source these badges from?

2. Trim ring
Finding this surprisingly hard to source so I must be doing this wrong. Where can I source the outer trim ring for a side mount?

Looking for the polished steel trim ring that goes around the plastic wheel cover of the sidemount Any ideas appreciated.

Thanks
David

David,

my McLaughlin Roadmaster Convertible has the trim but no badge on the side mount cover. I am confused on the term "plastic wheel cover", mine is sheet metal.

Christian,

Havent dared to scratch off the paint but it sure behaves, weighs and feels like plastic. I wonder if they are reproductions?

Thanks for your response. I saw another Limited this week online and again no badge - this one was a Buick [not a Mclaughlin] too.

Regards
