I'm gonna take a stab at that they put the left caliper on the right side and the right caliper on the left side. What happens with that is the bleeder screw is no longer at the top of the caliper and try, try, try as they will, brakes will never bleed the air out that way. Also, did they follow the bleeing procedures JUST like the book outlines? The TC brakes can be tricky... Hi, Just to add to Alan's reply. To bleed these brakes you must follow procedure. not like any procedure that was taught in school. this is a completely different engineering system than normal hydrolic brake system. If you have a problem understanding please ask we will help.. Good Luck, Lou

Tobruk, Because the bleed procedure is so different than normal, and can be confusing, Here is a quick procedure. TC brakes want to be flushed, by bleeding every 2 years.(only use DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid never that silicone stuff) Pump brakes about 25 times to release & equalize pressure (TC Brake system holds about 2900 lbs pressure internally) Remove resiviour cap and fill. Remove rear wheels, Crack rear bleeders loose, and retighten. TURN ON KEY , When system motor stops, hold brake pedal down, bleed right rear wheel (with key on,Brake pedal depressed, and bleeder open, fluid will run. when clear and no bubbles shut off bleeder and tighten, do the same to the left side. Turn off key, Put on wheels, pump down pedal 25 times again, remove cap and fill brake resiviour.. Leave key off remove front wheels, loosen & retighten both bleeders pump brake pedal 3 times and hold down bleed right front wheel, do this 3 times should be sufficient. bleed left front, Put on wheels, Check fluid again. turn on key, wait until brake system pump stops, now check pedal TC have a self setting pedal according to your use and pressure you may have to drive it a little to get the optimum set from the system.. ~ But ~ do not drive it if for some reason you have no pedal.. Good Luck, Lou

"I think I deserve a cookie" says Alan. Alan I think you should have an entire package of Orio Double Stuff Cookies as a reward for this one.
In your line of work Alan, have you ever come across someone installing a hinged part backwards, say an arm or a leg that swings the wrong way?
"my grandson and pal who took auto mechanics in high school said they could do the front brakes."
This says a lot for high school shop class, doesn't it?

The last of the special built pedal cars will be going up for sale at the RM Auctions in Scottsdale in January. Built by the renown restorer Fran Roxas, this "Dusey" is truly is another work of art.
