Free (you pay FedEx Ground shipping from 20886), two Delco (GM) car radios, fit GM cars from approximately 1977 through approximately 1985, I can't remember if they work or not. One is an AM-FM stereo, I think it has a temperature problem (cuts out when warms up), the other is an AM/FM/cassette, seems to me that the dial cord slips on that one and the cassette doesn't work (runs fast). Take one or both, you pay FedEx Ground charges from 20886. Weights and pictures later.

Regards,

Doug

That's the second one that vintage I've heard of cutting out when it gets hot. Buddy's 77 LeSabre Estate Wagon has an AM-FM-CB that does the same thing.

I had an ETR AM-FM-cassette that would do strange things if it got near an high voltage AC power line. You expect a little static near such a source, but this one would start and never stop, even if you got half a mile away from the power line. I ended up mauling it when it ate a cassette and wouldn't spit it out. Think I paid ten bucks for it, so not a great loss.

Worst part was having to take the Ninety Eight's dash back apart to R&R the thing. About 20 screws if I remember right.

So does this mean you want these things? smile I hate to just pitch them!

By the way, been meaning to ask, what are you doing with a K-Kar? At least my Firenza has Olds badges! smile

And did you lose the Bravada?

We gotta get together... hopefully before Pittsburgh!!

Best,

D

Pitchum. Doubt either is a high-demand piece. I've found sometimes that's the best thing to do. It cuts down on clutter in the house.

Killah-K was Mama's last car. It gets 28-30 mpg, runs well and has long been paid for, so it goes to work. It's as reliable as the gray wagon, so I don't hesitate to drive it anywhere. It does NOT like ethanol gas though. Every time it's ever had it, mileage dropped to around 21.

Bravada lives under the shed at the homeplace until I can find someone who wants it. I can't see spending $1200 on a vehicle that's worth about $2000. Somebody comes along with a t'ousing dollah, it can be theirs. Maybe less. I never liked the thing anyway, but it was paid for and ran OK, so I drove it. I'll admit- it was great in snow.
