Anyone know how high into the gas tank the standpipe extends? I ran out of gas yesterday (I think), but it sure looked like I still had a lot of gas in the tank.

It must stick up just high enough to run out of gas.

Ok, I deserved that.....

Guess I need to fix that darn gauge, my eye must not be very well calibrated. Of course I could do like my father-in-law does on his Jeep and use a paint stick with markings on it!
