Hi guys;
The technical advice shared on this board is Priceless.
I have 51 Special with about 100K miles on a 263 which I have been quoted about $3000 to rebuild. I have the opportunity to buy a rebuilt and refreshed (paint etc)263 for about half that but it is from a 1950.
Will it bolt right up or will I face challenges (not that I would be doing the work, that's a little beyond my expertice!)
Thanks in advance
Also, does anyone know the curb weight of my 51 Special 4 door? I got a set of four wheel dollies for Father's day but they are 1000 lb each capacity
Thanks again

I don't think there were any differences in the two...only possible problem is if one was from a stick and the other from a Dynaflow...I don't believe the Dynaflow crank had a boss for the pilot bushing, but I'm going on memory here...Also, your Special is pushing 4000 lbs. if not exceeding it with fluids in it.
