New member. Can anyone help me with how to remove the ignition from a 1940 Chrysler Royal. I know where to buy a replacement but I can not figure out how to get the old one out. This ignition is the type with a cable attached that goes to the coil.

To remove the lock switch/cable assembly from the coil, you must undo the crimped metal where the cable meets the coil. You will find a screw underneath that attaches to the coil. On the other end, I believe there is a set-screw that holds it in place.
