I have a 1966 Dodge D100 it has a 318A aka. 318-1 wide block. My dad rebuilt it in the late 90's and tried to update to hydraulic lifters and an RV cam. All of the books said that it would work but it never ran right and has been returned to mechanical lifters and I assume the correct cam.

The carburetor was replaced with a reman Carter BBD it is missing a portion of the bell crank on the throttle shaft that operates the kick down lever for the auto trans (A727)

I have seen pictures of what looks like the correct bell crank on both the carter BBD and the Stromberg WW3 in various manuals.

The truck may have the CAP or Clean Air Package but I don't know how to identify that. It does have a vacuum operated module between the carb and the vaccum advance But I am uncertain what it's purpose is and it's been disconnected since I have had the truck.

Does anyone know how to properly identify which carb should be on this truck? Any info would be helpfull.
