Peter, wouldn't it be appropriate to post somewhere obvious that this forum and the Dodge Brothers club is geared toward "Dodge Brothers" and Graham Brothers vehicles from 1914-1938? This would help to avoid some of the berating that some of the late model Dodge guys seem to get, not knowing they are in the wrong place. Just a suggestion,
Thanks,
Dave Wollam

I agree ...It would be nice to have aforum that is for the DB Club - '14 to 38.... It would save a lot of time trolling through the threads looking for relevant Q & A's, and not have to worry about the "modern Rubbish"

My point was not that late model stuff is rubbish but that this is not the correct forum for it. I have Dodges from 1917-2003 but I don't look to just one place for info. Each era has its own place. I also have old Fords, which I go to a different place for info on them. The uninformed later Dodge owners come here looking for help and get made fun of sometimes, not always, but I think it more appropriate to explain to them this is not the correct forum or as I suggested, post it more clearly so they don't stumble in here to begin with. While I am pround of my 68 Plymouth 340 Barracuda Coupe and my 62 Dodge Lancer 4dr w/ 340 (ugly duckling!) I would not look for help here because they just don't fit. I am just car crazy so I have a little of everthing!

This IS a great forum and I see lots of questions raised and answered. Thank you to the people who put so much into running these forums!

Dave

I am also looking for dodge parts victory standard & D A. It sure would be good to have the older cars separate from the newer models.

But where would us "late model Dodge" people look? I have a 1950 myself, which is outside the years mentioned as being the focus here, and I haven't been able to find anyplace to go for advice for that era. But the people here were more than generous in responding to my question the other day about driveability problems, which is more than I can say for any of the so-called "modern MOPAR" forums that I've been able to find. They aren't interested in anything but muscle cars, apparently. So I'll be happy to get out of everyone's hair if I'm bothering people, but I'd really appreciate it if someone can point me in the direction I should go for advice. I assumed from its name that "Dodge and Dodge Brothers" was more inclusive than a cutoff of 1938...

Hello-

I too have a '50 Dodge Coronet D-34 and have been looking --unsuccessfully-- for forums that are make/model appropriate.

I have found many parts and reference website but nothing specific to our cars.

Despite the advances and features that car had/has, I guess we are a minority!

Perhaps if enough of us can get together a specific forum can be established.

Till then it's trial, error, try to follow the repair manual and hope any replacement parts are that.

Regards,

Frank

Oh well, as long as Andy Bernbaum carries the parts, I guess we can keep the old Dodges going! There's a site devoted to just 49 Plymouths -- maybe they'd take us in as near-relations...

As far as I understand this forum is for Dodge AND Dodge Brothers, so I post here regarding my '39 Dodge and have always gotten wonderful assistance. I do notice however the lack of postings lately of anything other than DB's. The DB's don't really hold my interest as much, as I have a '39, but I still come here to read, be nice to see some later stuff though. I enjoy the postings for 40's and 50's Dodges.
