Is anyone reproducing the spiral shocks for the "big" Olds cars. I know the Tri Five Chevys and Chevelle type cars have shocks available but I would like to keep my '68 Delta 88 original if I can. The old shocks are a bit mushy even with only 24K miles on them. I guess they are 40 years old.

Appreciate any help.

Mickey

Mickey, those spiral shocks were mushy when they were new. Just a part of what was considered a "good ride quality" back then, along with 24 psi tire pressures.

You should be able to find some original NOS Delco Pleasurizer shocks for your car on ebay or even thru vendors like USA Parts or Kanter. They were a common dealer-installed upgrade on new or low-mileage GM cars. They will make a world of difference in the ride and handling of your Delta and best of all, they keep your GM car all GM.

'Course they were made back when that phrase meant something...
